solstice. - when the sun appear overhead at Tropic of cancer on 21 June is called summer solstice and when the sun appear overhead at tropic of Capricorn on 22 December is called as winter solstice.

solstice- 13 hours of day and 11 hours of night in summer solstice and 10 of day and 14 hours of night in winter solstice
