speed-always positive,scaler,average speed always greater than velocity or can be equal when displacement is equal to distance.velicity-can b negative,vector quantity

speed is the rate of change of distance and velocity is rate of change of displacement.

speed is scalar quantity and velocity is vector quantity.

speed is not concern with directions and velocity is concerned with directions.
