The Ganga plains or the most of the U.P. and regions nearby which are the northern plains are densely populated because-

1 - Availablity Of water due to various rivers and their tributaries.

This is the most important reason for this. As rivers not only are used for agricultural and domestic purposes but they also boost the economy by industrial growth of the region.

2 - Agricultural land's availablity

As we know that India is a agriculture based nation. Hence most of the people will go in there hoping for more opportunities and wellbeing of their families.

3 - Transportation there is massive.

There is a huge scope for proper transportation business to settle as they have waterways and effective ( straight ) roadways and railways for this purpose too !

Thank you
