QUESTION:

Give three solutions of x - 2y=6.

ANSWER:

x - 2y = 6

moving -2y to the other side of equal

x = 6 + 2y

now;

we take only those numbers which after putting value gives whole number.

TAKING x = 0

then y will be

0 = 6 + 2y \\  - 6 = 2y \\  - 3 = y

\huge\red{- 3 = y}

Taking x =2

2 = 6 + 2y \\  - 4 = 2y \\  - 2 = y

\huge\red{ - 2 = y}

TAKING x = 4

4 = 6 + 2y \\  - 2 = 2y \\  - 1 = y

\huge\red{ - 1 = y}

FINAL ANSWER :

Three solutions are :

\huge\red{(0,-3) ;  (2,-2 )  ;  (4,-1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

x-2y=6

=>y=6+x/2

=>y=3+x

putting the value of y in equation

=>x-2(3+x)=6

=>x-6-2x=6

=>-x=12

=> x= -12
