A double salt is formed between two simple salts by crystallization from a saturated solution of a mixture of the two. Examples

K2SO4.Al2(SO4)3.24H2O ( potash Alum),

(NH4)2 Al2(SO4)3.24H2O (Ammonium Alum)

FeSO4(NH4)2 SO4.6H2O (Mohr’s Salt)
