Examples of weather-related events are cyclones and dust storms.

Explanation:

  • Cyclones are tropical storms which are rotating clouds arising due to convection of air that causes warm air to rise and form an organized system of a low-pressure trough. The weather conditions during a cyclone are low air pressure, wet and cold climate, cloudy and windy weather, warm tropical oceanic climate with high moisture content, strong gusty winds, heavy rainfall, storm surges, high sea waves, etc. Cyclones mainly occur in the Intertropical Convergence Zone covering the tropical countries like India.
  • Dust storms also called as desert or sand storms occurs in arid and semi-arid climatic regions where the weather is hot and dry with very scanty rainfall. In such regions, strong dry gusty winds loosen the sand particles and blow them away to form sand or dust walls that get blown away to another place and get deposited there through processes called suspension, saltation, creep. These are common in desert and drylands in African and Arabian countries. Dust storms make the weather very hot, dry with little or nil visibility.
