Two examples of a solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels are given below:

Solid fuels:

1.   Coal - Used in ‘electricity generation’, ‘steel production’, ‘cement manufacturing’.

2.  Wood - Used as a construction material, manufacturing of furniture and paper.

Liquid fuel:

1.   Petrol - Used in the manufacturing of the ‘chemicals’, ‘plastics’, and ‘synthetic materials’.

2.   Kerosene - Used to power jet engines of aircraft.

Gas fuel:

1.  CNG - Mainly used as automobile fuel.

2.   LPG - Mainly used for cooking.
