Two examples of situations in which an applied force may cause a change in the shape of an object are as follows.
(1) Lemon juice can be extracted from a lemon by pressing it hard and the shape of the lemon gets changed in the process.
(2) When we press a toothpaste tube to take out the paste from it on a toothbrush, the paste comes out of it and the shape of the tube gets changed in the process.
