➡let an object moves from A to B then the distance covered will be 10 km .

But again that object moves back to A from B then the total distance will be 10 km + 10 km = 20 km

➡ but when that object moves from A to B then back to A then the displacement will be AB - BA

That is 10 km - 10km = 0
