A spot height is an exact point on a map with an elevation recorded beside it that represents its height above a given datum. ... Unlike a bench-mark, which is marked by a disc or plate, there is no official indication of a spot height on the ground although, in open country, spot heightsmay sometimes be marked by cairns.

Spot Height:-
- It is indicated on map and not on the ground.
- In a map it is represented by a dot followed by numerals representing height.
- It indicates height only above mean sea level.
Bench Marks :-
- It is indicated on real ground (a stone or building) which serves reference for surveyors.
- The place where Bench Mark is placed on real ground is represented as BM followed by a numeral.
- It indicates height of some point marked above the ground and includes the height of the point on which bench mark is etched.
Actually difference column wasn't available so I wrote in bullets.... The 1st point of Spot height has to be differentiated with the 1st point of Bench mark.....
Thank you ❤️❤️
