The Liberty Project is a social enterprise which aims to address two significant needs that are often neglected and ignored in today’s society:
Providing victims of human trafficking, abuse, addictions, and trauma with the opportunity to achieve financial independence.
Giving women living in poverty across the world access to sanitary menstrual health products.
We provide our clients with one-on-one professional consultation to address the social challenges they face, while taking them through a business curriculum to help improve their financial literacy skills. We teach them things like budgeting, saving, tracking income and expenses, and provide them with strategies to better market themselves for employment. After going through the consulting portion of the project, our clients have the opportunity to gain practical employment experience through our social enterprise. We hire them to manufacture reusable menstrual pads. While gaining transitional work experience through our social enterprise, we aim for our clients to find permanent employment so that they may have a sustainable and long-lasting career.
The reusable menstrual pads created by our clients are then sent to villages in underdeveloped nations where menstrual products are either unavailable or unaffordable. Our reusable pads provide an environmentally friendly solution to this need.
In the final stage of our project, we run workshops in local high schools that tackle the present and future hurdles youth face as they enter adulthood. Our workshops include lessons on self esteem, financial literacy and human rights.
thank you, hope it helps you.
have a great day.
