Solution:
Statement : Amit saved his pocket money Rs 1 on 1st day of month , Rs 2 on 2nd day of month and so on till last day of Month .
Find total saving if this was done in month of Feb 2021 .
2021 is a non leap year , hence 28 days in February
Savings will be
1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , ____________ , 27 , 28
This is an Arithmetic progression
a = 1
d = 1
n = 28
Sₙ = (n/2)(2a + (n - 1) d)
= ( 28/2) ( 2(1) + (28 - 1)(1))
= (14) ( 2 + 27)
= 14 * 29
= 406
