Equation 2x + 3y = 5
since there are two unknown variables (k,k+1) represent value of x and y respectively.
equation = 2x +3y -5 =0
=> 2k + 3 (k+1) -5 = 0
=> 5k -2 = 0
=> 5k = 2
=> k = 2/5 or 0.4
thus the solutions are
2/5 & 1+ 2/5
=> 2/5 & 7/5
