here EG = DIAGONAL = 16

       FH = another diagonal = 12

for diagonal EG ,

so,  a^2 +a^2 = 16^2 ( pithagorous's theorem)

so, 2a^2 = 256

so a = (256/2)^0.5 = 11.313 unit [longer side]

for another diagonal FH ,

so,  b^2 +b^2 = 12^2 ( pithagorous's theorem)

so, 2b^2 = 144

so b = (144/2)^0.5 = 8.485 unit [shorter side]
