Given figure shows two long parallel wires P and Q separated by a distance of 4 cm and carrying equal currents of 100 A along opposite directions. Find the magnitude of the magnetic field. ​

We know B =µI/2πr where B is the magnitude of the magnetic field.


I is the current carried by the wires which are 100 A.


r is the distance between them.


We also know that µ = 4*3.14*10^-7 which is the constant.  


Putting the values we get the magnitude


4*3.14*10^-7 X 100/2X 3.142 X 0.04


= 0.0005 T.
