Given that a = -10, b= 7 and c = -3 , verify that addition is commutative and
associative . Also show that subtraction is neither commutative nor associative.

Answer:

Addition

a+b=b+a   =>  -10 +7 =7+(-10)  

a+(b+c) = (a+b)+c    => -10+(7+[-3]) = (-10+7)+(-3)

Subtraction

a-b≠b-a  =>  -10 - 7 ≠ 7-(-10)

a-(b-c) ≠ (a-b)-c         => -10-(7-[-3]) ≠ (-10-7)-(-3)
