Answer

velocity = frequency × wavelength

340= 20 × x

x = 340/20

x= 17 cm

frequency in water

1480/20=x

x = 74 cm

SPEED OF SOUND IN AIR : 340 m/s

FREQUENCY = 20khz = 20000hz

FORMULA= SPEED= DISTANCE/TIME = WAVELENGTH/TIME = WAVE LENGTH x FREQUENCY

BECAUSE FREQUENCY= 1/TIME

WAVE LENGTH= SPEED/FREQUENCY

=(340/20000)M=(34000/20000)CM=

1.7CM

SPEED OF SOUND IN WATER=1498m/s

speed=wave length x frequency

wave length= speed/frequency

=(1498/20000)m=(149800/20000)cm=

7.49cm
