if tanA=4/3 is given then...

make a right angle triangle ∆ABC...

where mB= 90°

so tanA=AB/BC=4/3

it means AB=4 & BC=3

then use Pythagoras theorem...

AB²+BC²=AC²

16+9=AC²

25=AC²

AC=5

then...

sinA=AB/AC=4/5

&

cosA=BC/AC=3/5
