Question :- Given that, the radius of the circle is 5cm, calculate the area of the shaded sector .

Solution :-

from image we can see that,

  • radius of circle = 5cm.
  • Angle at centre = 60° .

we know that,

  • Area of sector = (Angle at centre/360°) * π * (radius)²

Putting values we get :-

→ Area of sector = (60°/360°) * 3.14 * (5)²

→ Area of sector = (1/6) * 3.14 * 25

→ Area of sector = (78.5/6)

→ Area of sector = 13.08 cm² (Ans.)

Hence, area of sector is 13.08 cm².

Given : the radius of the circle is 5cm,

To Find :  the area of the shaded sector

Solution:

Area of circle = πr²

r = Radius  = 5 cm

π = 3.142

area of the  sector .  = (Sector angle° / 360°)  πr²

Angle of shaded sector = 60°

area of the shaded sector .  =  (60° / 360°)  (3.142) (5)²

= 13.092 cm²

area of the shaded sector  = 13.092 cm²
