Given that x^a=1/x^b, what is the value of 2a+2b?

 {x}^{a}  =  \frac{1}{ {x}^{b} }  \\  \\  {x}^{a}  =  {x}^{ - b}  \\  \\ so......a =  - b \\  \\ 2a + 2b = 2( - b)  + 2b \\  \\  - 2b + 2b \\  \\  = 0

x^a=1/x^b

x^a=x^-b

a=-b

Now

2a+2b

2×-b+2b

-2b+2b

0
