Consider an equation of line ax+by+c=0.
(1)Now subtract c on both sides to get ax+by=-c
(2)Divide by -c on both sides to get (-ax/c)+(-by/c)=1
(3) The equation becomes x/(-c/a)+y/(-c/b)=1
The x and y intercepts of the line are -c/a and -c/b respectively.
Please note that the right hand side should have +1.
Please do ask if you have any doubts and please don't forget to rate the answer brainliest if you are satisfied after all it took time to text and I am desperately in need for one and also you would get points for rating brainliest!
