Given the literacy rate of women being low, if women were not allowed to vote how would it affect our policies?

If women were not allowed to vote that would create a problem in the political system. The entire ratio of voting would be disturbed. Just like illiterate women there are also illiterate men out there.  If women were not allowed to vote that would be pure discrimination based on gender and no matter what opinion which gender holds, they have a right to vote for their desired leader. Yes, this is a fact that when people are not educated enough, they might tend to lack some basic knowledge. However, even if women are not educated that doesn't mean that they are totally unaware of whats going on in the country. They might not know everything but surely they would be aware of the basic issues and policies and know what the leaders are doing.

This is why, if they are not allowed to vote, our policies would be negatively affected. They would end up being biased. For example, what will happen in family and health sciences departments.
