Hi.

Here is your answer---

______________________

Let the Co-ordinates A(2,3) = (x1,y1)
                               B(-5,0) = (x2,y2)
                       and C(-2,A) =  (x3,y3)

We now,
             Slope of AB = Slope of BC
    (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (y3 - y2)/(x3 - x2)
           (0 - 3)/(-5 -2) = (a - 0)/(-2 + 5)
                        -3/-7 = a/-3
                             a = 9/7

Thus, the Value of the a is 9/7.

Hope it helps.

Have a nice day.
