Let a, b be the intercepts of x, y respectively then,
The equation of straight line is x/a + y/b = 1 .
So, The equation of straight line
=> x / 5 + y/-3 = 1
=> -3x+5y = -15
=> 3x-5y = 15 .
Therefore, The equation of the straight line is " 3x -5y = 15"
