In order to solve this you must know the number of days present in each of the months.

Let's see we have to find out the number of days in between 12th March'2018 and 15th April'2018.

The consecutive months are March and April.

Now we know that March has 31 days.

So number of days remaining in March will be 31 - 12 = 19 days.

Number of days in April is 30 but we have to consider up to 15.

Therefore total number of days in between 12th March'2018 and 15th April'2018 is 19 + 15 = 34 days.
