Answer:

Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that, through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organism's metabolic activities.

The sequence of transformations that map quadrilateral ABCD onto A"B"C"D" are (x - 2) and (y - 2).

Given:

a quadrilateral ABCD is transformed to A"B"C"D" as shown in the figure above

To Find:

the sequence of transformations that was used

Solution:

Let us take any 1 vertex of quadrilateral ABCD

B(1, 0)

point B is transformed to B"(-1, -2)

as we can see, the x coordinate is moved 2 units to the left, and the y coordinate is moved 2 units south.

which means that the transformation is (x - 2) and (y - 2)

to crosscheck our answer, let us take another point D(1, 4)

1 - 2 = -1 and 4 - 2 = 2

and the coordinates of point D" are also (-1, 2)

Thus, the sequence of transformations that map quadrilateral ABCD onto A"B"C"D" are (x - 2) and (y - 2).
