The glands which do not have any ducts or are ductless are referred to be as Endocrine glands.
E.g. Pituitary gland, Pineal gland, Adrenal glands, Thymus gland, Thyroid , etc.
These glands are generally meant to release various hormones throughout the body for various functions.
- Pancreas is an exceptional gland, which acts as both endocrine and exocrine(with ducts) glands under different situations.
