Global warming is causing a lot of change in seasonal patterns which will hurt crop production. One, seasons appear to have shifted.  The winter sets in much later around December / January and ends a little early by about mid March.  Also, with increasing temperatures, crops that were earlier grown in the tropics might now find their place in the temperate zone.  Also, rains are more concentrated. They come down heavily within a short span of time, damaging the fertile upper layer of the soil.  In this manner, they cause havoc rather than bringing relief to the people. A year back, there was a situation where we had a simultaneous drought and flood in the country.
