Hi dear,
Topic : Global warming!
Let's start with some beautiful quotes on it!
★ We have one planet and ,one chance! Stop Global warming!
★ Global warming isn't a prediction,it is happening!
★ We should not forget our duty towards nature before it becomes too late!
★ Global warming is warning us through sea level rising and icecaps melting.
# What do you mean by global warming?
★ Global warming is the phenomena in which there is gradual increase in the temperature of the earth's atmosphere. It ruins the natural Environment and it's not less than a man made disaster!
Let's talk about some of the facts in relation to global warming!
→ Today the condition of global warming occurred because of the increase in the average temperature of the earth caused due to green house gases like carbon dioxide and methane.
→ Melting of glaciers will result in the raise of sea level and causing issues like water shortage in the areas that depends on natural sources of water.
→ The period from 2000-2009 was noted as the hottest decades on the earth.
→ Global warming can even lead to the shortage of food and water on the earth.
→ A failure in preventing global warming can cause a major economic collapse.
→ Human activities release around 37 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.
Let's talk about why does global warming occurred?
→ The condition of global warming occurred because some of the green house gases like carbon dioxide and other air pollutants collects in the atmosphere and traps and absorbs the sunlight and it's solar radiations that could have been bounced back to the earth's surface. If these interruption were not there then it could have escaped the space. But as if those green house gases were trapped led to the planet to get hotter even more. This is known as green house effect.
Now, it's the time to talk about its merits :.
★ There will be fewer number of deaths and injuries because of the cold environment.
★ There can be increased agricultural production in some of the local areas because of the longer seasons.
★ There will be less energy consumption for warming cold places.
Now, about its disadvantages :
★ Due to change in the climatic conditions agricultural production becomes less and leads to the shortage of food.
★ Water shortage on those places where water is already less available.
★ Humans and animals will be more prone to diseases.
★ Heat waves will lead to deaths.
★ Possibility that there can be extinction of some of the species of plants and animals.
★ Air Pollution will be increased.
★ Conditions like starvation, malnutrition may even occur.
★ There are chances of desertification.
# What are the measures taken by the government to reduce global warming?
★ Government has introduced and encouraged the use of CNG and LPG gases in vehicles instead of other polluting gases like petrol and diesel.
→ This reduces the harmful gases without being released into the air.
★ Government often takes initiative in organising campaigns to make people aware of the disadvantages of global warming.
★ Indian government have implemented chimneys in factories to reduce global warming.
★ Organisation of Vanmahotsav that means More afforestation and less deforestation.
★ They have replaced plastic bags with jute bags.
★ Government also appoints some leaders to organise awareness among people.
★ Swachh Bharat is a successful mission taken up by narendra modi , our prime minister. Similarly many other missions can be taken up against it.
★ Spreading awareness for the importance of planting more number of trees.
Thanks

GLOBAL WARMING :
We know very well that we can live for some time without food, But we cannot live even for a few seconds without air, water . so, air, water are the first two things that we have to live. on the other hand, we all are aware that our environment is not what it used to be. it's quality and purity is falling day by day.
How do you feel when you sit in a place where there is a lot of smoke ? you would feel comfortable. You feel difficulty in breathing. Sometimes even tears may come out of your eyes. While on hilly areas and on sea shores the air is comparitively pure and fresh.
Also, if you compared the life of villages and that of cities you feel very well the difference in the quality of air. This is due to the fact that the air in mountains and villages is usually free from pollutants like smoke . The number of vehicles , Industries and people is less in these areas.
our environment is under a Great threat because most of the activities of man practically add to the pollution of the air around us.
Global warming means the rise in the mean global temperature to a level which affects the life- forms on the earth surface, the factors responsible for this warning may be both natural and man-made. Water vapour, carbon - dioxide, Methane , ozone, Nitrous oxide , CFCs and halons are prominent factors responsible for global warming.
Deforestation : Indiscriminate cutting of trees and clearing of forests increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and thereby pollutes it.
Industries : Many of the industries like chemical plants, fertilisers, cement manufacturing units emit large amount of smoke and pollutants like oxides of sulphur and Nitrogen, lead particles and CFCS. which pollute the air.
Acid Rain : acid rain can corrode buildings, and statues, especially those made with marbles and stones.
The Taj Mahal at Agra is one of the seven wonders of the world. but the beauty of this monument in white marbles is being threatened by air pollution, experts have warned that the white marble of Taj Mahal has already deveoped patches of discoloration.
About half of the Earth's forest have disappeared because man has been cutting them down without thinking of consequences.
By cutting the forest man is putting his own survival at risk
Reduced dependence on Fossil Fuels and Afforestation are the most important methods of reducing the proportion of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and arresting global warming.
Global warming has became a major concern for government all over the world. Many countries have reached an agreement to reduce the emission of green house gases.
During the last century, Humans has depleted the natural resources, Conservation of resources is very important . In this context statement of Gandhiji will not be out of reference, " There is enough on this Earth to meet everyone's need but not everyone's Greed.
