Globalisation is a process of interlinking and integrating countries .
It is not only movement of goods and services and people because :
1. Greater competition among producers : Due to globalisation there has been an increase in competition among domestic and foreign producers which have benefited consumers , as they now get better quality of products .
2. Now , consumers can have variety of products at lower prices .
3. Foreign investment has increased .
4. This increase in competition has encouraged many of our top Indian companies to invest in newest technology and production method as well as raise standards for their products .
5. It has also enabled many Indian companies to be multinational .
6. It has created new opportunities for companies providing services , particularly those involving IT .
