Answer:

Let notes of rs 100 be x.

Let notes of rs 50 be y.

x + y = 25

x = 25 - y — ( 1 )

Now,

100x + 50y = 2000

100(25-y) + 50y = 2000. [Putting value of z from ( 1 )]

2500-100y + 50y = 2000

50y = 500

y = 10

x = 15

Hence, the denominations of Rs 100 and Rs 50 notes are 15 and 10 notes respectively.

I hope this helps.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. of ₹50 notes be x nad ₹100 be y

According to the question,

x+y=25------------(i)

50x+100y ------------(ii)

On Multiplying (i) by 50, we get

50x+50y=1250------------(iii)

On Subtracting (iii) from (ii), we get

50y=750

y=750/50

y= 15

Hence, we need to find x,

x+15=25------------(y=15)

x=25-15

x=10

Therefore,Meena has 10 notes of ₹50 and 15 notes of₹100.
