To Find :- What percentage of the supernatural creatures are Muggle-born ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that,

• Total supernatural creatures in Salazar Slytherin are = 100x
• Total supernatural creatures in Godric Gryffindor = 50% more = 150x

now, let us assume that,

• The number of Aragog in both houses is = y .

so,

→ Number of Aragog in Salazar Slytherin = y

then,

→ Number of Muggle-born in Salazar Slytherin = (100x - y)

and,

→ Number of Muggle-born in Godric Gryffindor = Number of Aragog in Salazar Slytherin = y

therefore,

→ Total number of Muggle-born in both houses = (100x - y) + y = 100x

hence,

→ Required % = (100x * 100) / (100x + 150x) = (100x * 100)/250x = 40% (Ans.)
