This is because of the reason that every gram of gold seems to make a massive difference in terms of price as spring balance does not provide the needed accuracy for measuring the precise weight of the gold article or bar.
On the other hand, beam balance is known to be the instrument which is employed to measure the mass of the gold very accurately.
