LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS:

It states that mass can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction.

Example - After burning of wood, the ash and gases weigh the same amount as before.

LAW OF CONSTANT PROPORTIONS:

It states that the elements in a chemical substance are always present in definite proportions by mass.

Example - The ratio of hydrogen and oxygen in water (H20) is always 1:8 whatever the source of water will be.
