NTSE, includes both MAT and SAT, in two stages, Stage-1 and Stage-2.

It is a beneficial exam, which will give you money about Rs. 1000 every month if you clear Stage-1, and if you clear Stage-2 also, then you would get more money than that. It also helps you to get inside any college, institute, university or government jobs more easily.

Generally, NTSE Stage-1 happens on the 2nd or 3rd week of December, means this year 2021-22, it would have more chance to happen on 12 or 13th of December. NTSE Stage-2 date would be announced after NTSE Stage-1.

The total questions are 200, which consists of 100 questions of MAT(Mental Ability/Reasoning), and 100 questions of SAT(Science-40, Maths-20, and SST-40).

Therefore, the total marks are 200(Max). Generally, each year the cutoff varies in various states, You should target for 165+, as the major state's cutoff goes around here. For eg, last year cutoff in Punjab was around 173; Haryana was around 160. For other questions, ask me on tg.

For Good and Sufficient Preparation,

Maths- 'NCERT' and 'R.D. Sharma'

SST- 'NCERT' only

MAT- 'R.S. Aggarwal Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning'

Science- 'NCERT' and any '1 reference book in which you are already experienced well with'

A common mistake we all do is buying too many books, but NTSE requires just practice of any 1 book in a better manner. 1 Reference book is enough, mentioned above.

Useful Tips:

• Maintain Self Study, everyday.

• Practice sample papers on Sundays.

• Analyse your performance and mistakes.

• Strengthen your weak topics of weak subjects.

• Take Power Naps, once in afternoon.

Note: You don't need to be perfect in each and everything. Just with good amount of practice, any student can become an NTSE Scholar.

Hope you are fine, and best of luck for your preparation, do it gradually, without taking tension, as there is much time left, also in online classes there would be a benefit that we would have more time at home, which we will utilize in the preparation.

Remember, Balance is important, which means other things including health, friends, family, hobbies should also be kept care of.
