The role of Alluri Sitaram Raju in Andra Pradesh during the 1920s: Alluri Sitarama Raju was an Indian rebellious who fight against the atrocities of British Raj. A tribal revolt was led by him against the exploitation of forest resources by Britishers which were important for tribal people for their survival !

Alluri Sitaram Raju was the tribal chief from the gudem hills of Andhra Pradesh. In the early 1920s, he originated militant guerrilla Movement by urging the soldiers and armed civilians to use military tactics including pitfalls, demolition, assaults and hit-and-run tactics against the Britishers.

Raju sparked the hill people to fight for the cause of independence because he was motivated non-cooperation movement led by Gandhiji. He inspired people to use Khadi but at the same time, he did not consider the method of  non-violence and believed that India could be liberated only by the method of force.
