  • Bassaino said that Shylock was inhumane , cruel and evil . He just wanted life of Antonio . Thus he didn't accept the offer of Baissanio.
  • Bassanio was ready to offer twice the principle amount . Even he offered ten times more if the money lender wants . He would offer his head and heart for security of his Antonio.

Shylock refused to Bassanoi's proposal to dine with them because Bassanio was the Christian and he told Bassanio that they are pork eater and a jew never eats pork. That was the reason why Shylock refused to dine with him.
