What is Landscape?
Landscape are units of land along boundaries (natural boundaries) having a mosaic of patches. These patches generally represent different ecosystem. In ecological hierarchy landscape can be present between Ecosystem and Biomes also.
Diversity at the level of community is of three types:-
1. Alpha diversity:- Diversity with in community is known as alpha diversity.
2. Beta diversity:- Diversity between community is known as beta diversity.
3. Gamma diversity:- Diversity of the habitats over the total landscape or geographical area is known as gamma diversity.
