since OM is perpendicular to AB.
therefore, AM IS HALF OF AB.
therefore AM is equal to half of the length of the chord
that is, 4 cm.
NOW IN RIGHT TRIANGLE OMA,
OM SQ.= OA SQ - AM SQ.
9 CM
