In the short story “The Happy Prince” Oscar Wilde tells about a Prince who in his entire life have never seen any hardships. The statue of the prince saw the real struggles of his people. He asked a little sallow to break off the jewels from the statue and give to the people so that they can recover from the scarcity and struggles of the life. The whole body of the Prince's statue was used to recover from the loss. The swallow also died on the feet of the statue. An angle came up from the heaven and took the swallow and the Prince to heaven where they both lived in peace. Though the body of the Prince and the swallow got destroyed, their lives became eternal. Hence, it can be concluded that 'Goodness and never be destroyed.'
