When the grandfather realized how greedily selfish his daughters were who didn't care a bit about him, he decide to make a new will according to which the sole heir to his property and money would be the person with whom he would be living at the time of his death. And the grandfather had decided to get married to Mrs John Shorrocks. So the new heir to his property and money was to be his new bride! This decision had a deep impact on Slaters and Jordans. They started feeling sorry to the grandfather for their mistakes and appealed to him not to be harsh upon them while making the new will.
