Grapes hanging on the plant do not ferment but after being plucked from the plant can be fermented. Under what conditions
do these grapes ferment? Is it a chemical or a physical change?

as the grapes are on the plant it continuously receive minerals and water from the plant but as the grapes are plucked the do not receive the water and minerals and then due to bacterial action it starts fermenting.
it is a chemical change since it can not be reversed .
