We know that,

PV = k ( according to boyle's law )

Taking log on both sides,

→ log(PV) = log(k)

Using formulas :

  • log(xy) = log(x) + log(y)
  • log(x/y) = log(x) - log(y)
  • log(x)^a = a.log(x)

→ log(P) + log(V) = log(k)

→ log(P) = - log(V) + log(k)

Our required expression is log(P) = -log(V) + log(k).
