They eat grass and so sometimes they are green in colour.
They are generally green and brown in colour and sometimes little yellowish.
They have 6 legs, and two pairs of wings.
And they have small little pinchers to tear off grass, leaves and cereal crop.
They can jump about 25cm high and around 1 meter long.

Hi,

Explanation:

Grasshoppers are medium to large insects. Adult length is 1 to 7 cm, depending on the species. Like their relatives the katydids and crickets, they have chewing mouthparts, two pairs of wings, one narrow and tough, the other wide and flexible, and long hind legs for jumping.
