Explanation-

Let the salary be 100₹

Increased by 25% i.e. 25₹

New salary is 125₹

Now if we decrease it by 20%

20% of 125₹ is ₹25

Therefore ₹125-₹25=₹100

salary after increase=rs (100+25)=rs125

To restore the original salary reduction=rs.(125-100)=rs.25
reduction on rs 125=rs 25

Reduction%=(25/125 ×100)%= 20 % ans
