Green gold is made from gold and silver in the ratio 3:1.
A green gold bracelet has mass 56g.
a )What is the mass of the gold in the necklace?
b )Show how to check your answer to part a.

the ratio between gold and diverse is 3:1

let the mass of gold be 3x and silver be 1x

3x+1x=56

4x=56

x=14

the mass of gold is 42g and the mass of silver is 14g
