The Greenhouse Effect is, in fact, harmful to the world. It just isn't too bad. The pollution is being trapped in the Ozone layer, which is causing the world to slowly heat up. Since this hasn't started happening since cars and plants, it isn't too bad right now.

The reason I say it isn't to harmful is because the heat it has trapped isn't burning us alive.
