To get the greatest sum,
The numbers formed with the digits are 654 and 321
When these numbers are added - 654 + 321,
We get,
654 + 321 = 1005
So, the greatest sum Greg could get out of these digits is 1005

Answer: 117

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Greg forms two numbers with digits 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Both

numbers have three digits, and each digit is used only once.

The possible greatest three digit numbers by using the given digits to

give the greatest sum (no repetition) [we arrange according to the place

value of digit to give the greatest sum]= 642, 531

Now, The greatest sum Greg can obtain=632 +541 = 1173
