Griffin was an excellent scientist, He made rare drugs which can make human body invisible. even though his inventions were great he was rather a lawless person. He also stole clothes, money and also other accessories from the theatrical company and attacked the shopkeeper from behind and went to the village Iping, and when his stolen money got over, he steals money again from the clergyman's desk and attacked the clergyman and his wife when they entered room for investigation and also attacked Mr. Jaffer, the constable when he was trying to arrest griffin for his misdeed in the village Iping. thereby his brilliance as a man of science before his darker traits.
