Griffin was not bothered if he had harmed anybody in the fulfilment of what he wanted. He set his landlord's house on fire because the landlord tried to make him leave.
Answer:
Griffin was rather a lawless person. the very fact that he use his scientific discovery not for the welfare of mankind but for his self evil interests shows that he had no respect for laws. after a quarrel with his landlord he set his house on fire to seek revenge. he then removed all his clothes and made himself invisible. he even do not bother to pay for his clothes. while coming out of the shop he hit the shopkeeper and stole his money. he also stole money from the clergy man's desk to pay to Mr. hall who called him as scientist. he had a strange encounter with the constable who was struggling hard to arrest headless man. in this way griffin did not honour the law any times he crossed his limits that enables us label him as a lawless person.
